"Dear Robin – May I, on behalf of the Newbury Branch, thank you very much for the organizing and planning of the New Year Lunch for our Society on Sunday 22nd January 2012, It was a complete success and all members who attended the Lunch very much enjoyed it, and had a great time.
Your staff, headed by Paul in the Dining Room, looked after us all extremely well, and our members where so pleased to have the Starter and Sweet served at table, Your Chef and team in the Carvery where also excellent, as was Alex in the Bar. So if you would pass on our thanks to them, we would be very pleased that they know.
I was approached by many members, who individually expressed thier warm compliments about the Lunch, which may not have reached the ears of your team. The Dining Room was a great layout, and clearly much effort had be put into the presentation.
So thank you and all those concerned for enabling such a enjoyable outing for our members."

"Andy, As you know, on Friday evening (20th Jan) we arranged a dinner party for over 30 members at SSGC. Over many years I have been to many functions at our Golf Club and I needed to let you know that Friday night was one of the best I have ever attended. Paul Davis was fantastic as our MC and banqueting manager and every-one agreed that the food was excellent (please pass our compliments to our new Chef as I don't yet have his e-mail address). The service by your banqueting staff during the evening was highly efficient, friendly and to be commended. Erika's organisation was flawless, as usual, and the menu and table plan she produced with Gwen's photo was a knockout.
Finally the "room dressing" by Chrissy was also of the highest standard and looked terrific. In summary, it was truly an evening to be remembered and through you, I wish to thank all your staff, for making Gwen's birthday very special indeed. If you could pass my comments and compliments to all concerned, I would be grateful."

From the ground staff to bar staff, office and pro shop, everyone treated us with friendliness and courtesy. My friend and I play golf occasionally in America and one of the biggest differences and complaints we have between Amserica and the UK is the attitude and efficiency of the Golf Club and without doubt we could not fault Sandford Springs.
Given the weather we have had lately the course was in very good condition.

"As you know, we held our daughter Keira and son in law Graham’s wedding celebration at Sandford last Saturday following their marriage back in February in Thailand. We only had the immediate family present out in Thailand so it was good to have a second celebration for other family and friends. In the end about 75 people managed to make it last Saturday.
We would like to thank all of the staff who were involved - Robin for his advice and assistance with the booking, Paul and his staff including Debbie for their hard work and enthusiasm, the chefs for the excellent buffet and help with the wedding cake. The buffet was excellent (the vegetarian selection appreciated by many) and the service was always with a smile.
We were very fortunate with the weather but I think even more fortunate to have had a great setting for the event and a great team to look after us – please pass on our thanks to all concerned.
Also thanks to you I was able to play at The Oxfordshire with the seniors on Tuesday. The weather was fabulous, the course was in great shape and the clubhouse is spectacular BUT when I was driving away it occurred to me, even with all that, it has a long way to go to be a CLUB as great as Sandford Springs which is again all down to you and your team."
