Access to Sandford Springs
Access membership is designed to help those who are considering becoming full members to make the right decision. It allows them to 'test the water' before 'taking the plunge'.
Many potential members see the fear of the unknown and parting with the initial payment as the two biggest barriers to joining a golf club. Access removes these barriers and creates an easier path to the ultimate goal.
How does Access work:
It is an introductory membership leading to 5 or 7-day membership.
It can run for up to 12 months.
The cost is £450 plus an administration fee of £50. This buys 450 points that are used to pay for rounds of golf. The price of each round depends on whether it is weekday or weekend.
The cost can be fully off-set against the joining fee. The discount will be 100% of the Access fee paid (excluding the administration fee) if joining within 6 months or 50% if joining between 6 and 12 months.
Access members are able to play in monthly medals, stableford and certain other competitions, though not in any honours board competitions, and are able to use the club practice and teaching facilities.
They will have EGU affiliation and be able to obtain an official EGU handicap.
Access members enjoy certain playing rights at all other Leaderboard courses and can bring guests at a special member's guest rate.
They have full membership access to all social events.
Access members can choose to have an account with us and receive a 10% discount on payment of £100 bar levy.
To illustrate the value of the Access membership fee, the following table set out the rate at which points are deducted for each round of golf. But remember, the Access fee can be recovered fully by way of a discount against the joining fee if you become a member.
